Blue Ridge Parkway Fall Tradition

Camp Old Indian

The trail to the meadow at Summer Camp after a rain.  Many a day I've walked this trail from Windy Hill back in the Summers bettween 1980-83 with my friends from Troop 102.  Last week, I walked the trail again with my son; this time as scoutmaster of Troop 750. On Wednesday night, a couple of my old troop mates drove up to join us on family night, and we all walked the same trail together up to Windy Hill and back down again. They say you can't go back, but I think they're wrong.  We went back, we walked the same old trail, we remembered and created new memories together.
